KSU demands videography for personal interview
JOWAI: Advocating for free and fair recruitment to state government’s jobs, the Khasi Students Union (KSU) today reiterated its demand for videography of personal interview for all types of jobs as to ensure equal and unbias opportunities to all.
In letter to the Chairman of MPSC the KSU) Central Executive Council said in order to ensure transparency and to remove all apprehensions from the public eye, the Union had submitted a memorandum (Ref. No.KSU/CEC/18-19/06, dated 05.04.2018) to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Shri Conrad K. Sangma whereby in point no. 8 a demand for the immediate revamping of the mode for the conduct of examinations by the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) is mentioned.
One of the demands of the Union includes the video surveillance or coverage for all interviews conduct by the MPSC.
After a thorough discussion after the submission of the said memorandum on the 05th of April 2018, the Chief Minister along with his colleagues had assured the KSU delegation that the matter will be looked upon and that the suggestions in the context of video surveillance or video coverage of examinations is feasible and of utmost significance.
The KSU said that a year has passed after the above meeting, thus they request him to update the union and public with the developments regarding the setting up of the new mode of examination where video surveillance or coverage is a criteria if such a direction is being conveyed to the MPSC from the government.
