KSU inspects Ummulong CHC

The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) Ummulong Unit on Tuesday conducted an inspection to the Ummulong community health centre (CHC) in West Jaintia Hills District.

President of Unit Niki Challam said the inspection was taken up to see the preparation of the CHC to tackle the ongoing second wave of COVID-19.

He said during the inspection, the union found that the CHC has 21 beds, 8 oxygen cylinders and medicines.

“When enquired, Dr M Lamare informed that the CHC has prepared itself to tackle COVID-19 cases,” Challam said.
