KSU puts up sign boards demanding ILP, resolving border issue
The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) Nongstoin Circle on Wednesday put up signboards demanding implementation of the Inner Line Permit (ILP) and resolving long pending boundary dispute with Assam.
Led by Wanbhakupar Lyngdoh Nonglait, the KSU activists went to put up the signboards at Sohpian road at Phodja-ud village on the way to Nongstoin, the district headquarter of West Khasi Hills district.
A statement of the union said that the objective was to intensify demand for ILP and solution to end the boundary dispute.
It said that the government of India should respect the ILP resolution unanimously passed by the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly in December 2019.
