KSU urged Delhi for safe return of Meghalayan in Ukraine
The Khasi Students’ Union on Thursday urged the Central Government to ensure the safety and security of Meghalaya’s students in Ukraine.
In a letter to Dr. S Jaishankar, Union Minister of External Affairs, the Khasi Students’ Union New Delhi Unit said that they are seriously concerned with the present situation and
recent tension that has escalated in Ukraine. The Union is worried about the safety and security of our students and nationals from the state who are pursuing higher education and working in that country.

Among the Indian nationals, a considerable number of people belonging to the state of Meghalaya are also present in Ukraine.

“We are looking forward to your kind intervention with the authorities in that particular
country to ensure the safety of our students, and altogether, we urge your esteemed office to make the necessary arrangements for their secure evacuation and safe return,” the letter said.
