Kyrmen Foundation’s Blood Donation Camp brings community together
The Kyrmen Foundation organized an Awareness Programme and Blood Donation Camp on May 17 at Kiang Nangbah Government College, Jowai, to address the critical need for blood transfusions.
Collaborating with the Hawahoi Socio Development Society, Kiang Nangbah Government College Students’ Union and Civil Blood Bank, Jowai the event aimed to educate students on the importance of blood donation.
Deputy CEM JHADC, Lasky Rymbai, the chief guest, highlighted the dual benefits of blood donation, both for recipients and donors. He also praises the youth who came forward to donate their blood helping those who are in the midst of hopelessness because of the sickness that they are going through.
Dr. P. Shylla, Senior Medical Officer In-charge of the Civil Blood Bank Jowai, provided guidelines for donors and encouraged participation.
Speakers included Dr. Easter Meena Blah, Principal of Kiang Nangbah Government College Jowai; Simi Khongthiang, Secretary of the Kyrmen Foundation and representatives from partnering organizations.
Out of 20 volunteers, 15 were eligible to donate, significantly aiding patients in need and demonstrating the community’s commitment to healthcare.
