Lafarge donates PPEs, masks, gloves to CCC at Sohra
The Lafarge Umiam Mining Private Limited has donated 100 full body PPEs, 350 N-95 masks, 200 gloves and 2 disinfectant sprayers to the Community Corona-care Center (CCC) at Sohra on June 4.
The objective was to assist the sub-divisional administration team in combating the steep rise in the number of COVID-19 positive cases in Sohra Civil Sub-Division.
Receiving the materials from the representatives of Lafarge, the Sub Divisional Officer Alexander S Mukhim thanked LUMPL for their support towards the setting up of the Corona Care Center in the civil sub division.
He further stated that the safety materials donated by Lafarge would go a long way in ensuring the health and safety of the health workers, doctors and nurses who will be manning the Corona Care Centre in the region.
In continuation with its support towards health care as part of the company’s community engagement initiatives, Lafarge had also earlier donated 4 oxygen cylinders to Shella PHC and 2 Oxygen Cylinders to the Nongtrai Dispensary to ensure that the two villages are equipped to handle COVID-19 crisis in the two communities.
