Rupert Lyngdoh, Secretary Shnong, Laitkor Rngi Dorbar Shnong & Joint Secretary #Laitkor Pyllun Dorbar Shnong informed us that all four Rangbah Shnong’s have set up a COVID 19 Team in the village (includes R/S(Rangbah Shnong), S/S(Seng Samla), R/Ds(Rangbah Dong), Asha worker, Anganwadi and the Gram Sevak I/c of the Village) right from April.
With a sudden spike in the number of COVID-19 cases, the CCMC members are constantly calling out to residents and talking to them so that they are aware and that they inform the village authorities on any symptoms that they may develop. Whenever they come across violators who do not follow basic health protocols, a warning is given on the first finding and then, an agreed monetary fine is imposed if they repeat the offence.
After being declared a containment zone, volunteers have taken up an additional task of purchasing items for households as they are not allowed to step out. So home delivery is managed by the volunteers.
Their message to the people is- Stay home, while we stay out to ensure- that you do.
