Landslide again on NH-6

Due to incessant downpour, the National Highway No.6 along East Jaintia Hills District has been struck by another major landslide on Wednesday.

According to police, a landslide has occured on NH06 near Sonapur village during the morning hours.

A huge hilllock of earth and trees landed in the roads following which vehicular movements have come to standstill.

Commuters passing through this route are advised to drive cautiously and to please be patient as efforts are already on to clear the same.
