Law will take action against those involved in drug trafficking: Shylla
Cabinet Minister Kyrmen Shylla on Tuesday said the law will take action against anybody invovled in drug trafficking.
Speaking to media persons, Shylla however said that the law must also take action against those making allegations that the cabinet minister is involved in drug trafficking without evidence.
Asserting the need to eradicate drug menace from the state, the minister said, “It is not right for anyone to just allege against members of the ruling or opposition or even the public without proof that he/she is involved in drug trafficking and collecting money from drugs.”
He added “It is like a joke and like discussion in markets to allege against any members or the public that he/she is involved in drug trafficking without prove”.
When asked on leader of opposition Mukul Sangma’s decision to write to the Prime Minister against drug trafficking, Shylla said “According to him, he is correct, otherwise if it is false allegations, I believe the court should also take action against those people who are making allegations without proof”.
