LGBI airport hosts ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ session with taxi drivers to enhance services
Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA), Guwahati, managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, organized a Chai Pe Charcha session with taxi drivers on January 24 as part of its ‘Going the Extra Miles for Services’ (GEMS) initiative.
The interactive session was designed to align taxi drivers with the vision of the upcoming Integrated Terminal Building (NITB) and the overall development of the airport, fostering a collective growth mindset.
Key discussion points included zero cash transactions and digitalization to enhance ease of payment, self-grooming and cleanliness to maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere, Greet, Smile, and Thank You (GST)—emphasizing the importance of politeness and customer service in improving passenger satisfaction and NITB visuals presentation—showcasing the new terminal to generate excitement and pride among the taxi drivers.
The session concluded on a highly positive note, with taxi drivers expressing enthusiasm for the upcoming developments and a strong sense of involvement in the airport’s progress.
“We are committed to providing exceptional services to our passengers, and our taxi drivers play a vital role in this endeavour. We look forward to continuing such interactive sessions to strengthen our collective efforts and achieve greater success for everyone involved.”
This initiative reinforces LGBI Airport’s dedication to service excellence, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for travellers while fostering collaboration with key stakeholders in airport operations.
