Local taxi fares in Jowai Region

The Secretary Regional Transport Authority, West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai has informed that following are the rates of Taxi fare within Jowai Region  in accordance with the rate notified by the Government dated 13.01.2020.

The fare of Journey by local taxi with maximum 5 occupants shall be Rs. 26 for the first Km and Rs. 13.00 for subsequent Km. It also states that the passengers will be charged Rs 7 for every five minutes for holding or detaining a local Taxi.

The Taxi fare from Iawmusiang to Circuit house/Jaintia School (0.8 Kms), Iawmusiang to PWD Campus (1.1Km) Iawmusiang to KJP Hospital (1.1Km) is Rs.26.  

From Iawmusiang to Caroline Colony (1.3 Kms), Iawmusing to Dongmihsngi (1.5 Kms), Iawmusiang to Tyndowapung (1.4 Kms), Iawmusiang to Mookynrdup/Irrigation (1.8 Kms), Iawmusiang to C.S Office (1.2 Kms), Iawmusiang to Salaroh/Forest Park Salaroh (1.8 Kms), Iawmusiang to All India Radio (1.5Kms) is Rs. 39.

From Iawmusiang to Lumpariat last point (2.2 Kms), Iawmusiang to Memory Colony upto Polytechnic (2.5 Kms), Iawmusiang to Law College (Salini Colony) (3.1Kms) Iawmusiang to Bosco Pnar Jail Complex (2.8 Kms), Iawmusiang to Lumphareng (3 Kms) is Rs. 52.

Iawmusiang to Woodland Hospital (6 Kms) is Rs. 91, Iawmusiang to Ialong (8 Kms) is Rs. 117.

From Iawmusiang to Iawthymme (1.5 Km) is Rs. 39, Iawmusiang to Lad Nartiang -Lad College (2.7 Km) is Rs. 52, Iawmusiang to Madan Mihmyntdu (3.8Km) is Rs. 65 and from Iawmusiang to Tyndur Mihmyntdu (4. 1 Km) is Rs. 78.
