Majestic Dance Academy triumphs at Step Battle Dance season 1

The Don Bosco Media Network (DBMN) of the Salesians of Don Bosco, Shillong, concluded its highly anticipated Step Battle Dance – Season 1 on December 3, 2024, at the Don Bosco Youth Center, Laitumkhrah. Organized in collaboration with the Don Bosco Youth Center and led by Rev. Father Michael Makri, SDB, the competition celebrated the dancing talents of youth across the region.

Rev. Anthony Kharkongor, Principal of St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, graced the event as Chief Guest. He encouraged participants to aspire for excellence, emphasizing the value of dance as an art form and a career avenue.

Six teams – ACE Merakis, Sana, LSC Duo, Megha Warriors, Phrangsngi, and Majestic Dance Academy – competed in the finale, showcasing exceptional solo and group performances. Majestic Dance Academy clinched the top prize of Rs 90,000 and a trophy, followed by Megha Warriors with Rs 45,000, and ACE Merakis, who received Rs 15,000. Judges Dapalei Stacy Warjri and Annisha Mawrie praised the participants for their stellar performances.

Rev. Father Michael Makri also announced upcoming events, including a Christmas Carol Competition on December 23 and Sur Kynud Season 3, running from December 14, 2024, to July 31, 2025, with a grand prize of Rs 100,000. Registrations are open at www.realkasurkynud.com.
