Man awarded life imprisonment

SHILLONG: An accused person identified as Luckyson Khardewsaw was awarded life imprisonment for an offence under Section 3(a) of POCSO Act, 2012 punishable under section 4 of POCSO Act, 2012 with a fine of Rs. 100/- and default sentence of 1 month Rigorous Imprisonment.

The Order was passed by B Khriam, Court of Special Judge (POCSO), Shillong on July 30, in connection with Mawlai P.S Case No. 6(3)2013 U/S 376(2)(f) IPC read with Section 3(a)/4 of POCSO Act.
