Man cheated over fake job offer

A man has lodged a complaint after he was duped of Rs 20,000 for getting a data entry job.

In his FIR, Mashenbhalang Lyngdoh informed that on applying for a data entry job advertised by ‘Praxylite Technology Pvt, Ltd, Co’, through OLX, he received one anonymous phone call on August 5.

The caller had informed him that he has been selected and that he requires to submit his documents along with a legal agreement, to which he complied.

On the following day, the complainant again received a phone call from one Deepak Kulkarni (who claimed to be an Advocate) and asked him to deposit Rs 20,000 in the account of one Daberwala Sahil. Later, the complainant learnt that he has been cheated, the FIR said.
