Man commits suicide

One 32-year-old man has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence, police said on Saturday.

The incident happened in Hawai Sutnga village, Muktapur under Dawki Police Station in West Jaintia Hills on May 14, they said. 

As per preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the man decided to end his life when his wife and three children were away to a relative’s house nearby.

The body was discovered hanging on the following day by the family members. All the necessary formalities have been observed and steps as per law taken police said.
