Marcuise N Marak demands ex-Manipur CM to tender apology for blaming PA Sangma

NPP leader from Garo Hills and cabinet minister Marcuise N Marak on Tuesday demanded the former Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh to tender apology for his derogatory remarks against (L) Purno Agitok Sangma.
“Therefore, I totally condemn this on behalf of NPP party Garo Hills and I seek an apology from N Biren Singh,” Marak told reporters.
He said, “N Biren Singh, who is a former chief minister of Manipur and he has created a mess in Manipur and this everyone knows it and now he is putting a blame on PA Sangma, who is no longer with us in this world. This is totally unacceptable. We condemn it and I seek an apology from N Biren Singh because you should not a blame on PA Sangma.”
“PA Sangma has been integrity leader. He has been a national leader, who has worked for the people of North East and for every state and his principle is unite everyone and not to divide each one of us,” he added.
Singh while accusing Meghalaya CM Conrad K Sangma of interfering in Manipur’s internal affairs, had written in his social media post: “The late Shri PA Sangma once advocated for dividing the Northeast into smaller states along ethnic lines, a dangerous idea that threatened the unity of our nation Today, we are seeing similar attempts to interfere in Manipur’s internal affairs to destabilise the state”.
