Market area cleaning drive held in Jowai town

As part of the Gandhi Jayanti celebration, the District Administration, in collaboration with the Jowai Municipal Board, Dorbar Chnong Tympang Iawmusiang, Jowai Traders Association, Market Committee CNI Market, Jowai Presbyterian Iawchyiap, and Seinraij Jowai, conducted a cleaning drive program under Swachhata Hi Seva in the market areas and zones of Jowai town on October 2.

Residents of Iawmusiang, stakeholders from Moosalyngkat, vendors, and shopkeepers enthusiastically participated in cleaning the market areas, including CNI Market, Seinraij Market, Jowai Presbyterian (Iaw chyiap) Market, and the surrounding areas.

The cleaning drive was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Dahunlang V Lyngdoh, MCS.

Earlier, a short program was held where the Jowai Traders Association (JTA) felicitated government officials: SDO MeECL E. Pohshna, Traffic Incharge Rocky M Umlong, and Executive Officer of Jowai Municipal S Amse, for their daily service and valuable contributions to society. Certificates were also distributed to participants in the Swachhata Hi Seva week, which started on September 15th and concluded today, organized by Jowai Municipal.
