Mawkhar dorbar shnong condoles death of former headman

The Mawkhar dorbar shnong has expressed grief over the sudden demise of its former headman (L) WHD Syngkon on Monday.

“We truly have lost our respected friend, near and dear to all of us,” headman AS Tariang said in a condolence message.

(L) Syngkon had served as a headman of Mawkhar dorbar shnong from the year 2,000 – 2018 and also served as an additional advocate general to the government of Meghalaya.

The Mawkhar dorbar shnong along with the Seng Kynthei Mawkhar Welfare Association, Seng Samla Mawkhar and Mawkhar Sports Club held an emergent condolence meeting today and observed one minute silence as a mark of respect and honour to the departed soul.

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to all the bereaved family members and pray that God grant comfort and peace during this time of bereavement,” Tariang said.
