MBDA opens applications for key health sector roles in Meghalaya under BMGF Project
In an ambitious move to strengthen Meghalaya’s health services, the Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA) is opening applications for an array of contractual positions under the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) project. Managed through the Meghalaya State Health Society, these roles encompass high-impact areas in maternal and child health, digital health, human resources for health, and comprehensive primary healthcare. With competitive monthly salaries ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 2,00,000, the initiative seeks to attract talent dedicated to improving health outcomes across the state.
Candidates interested in these roles must submit their applications by December 1, 2024, for consultant positions and by November 20, 2024, for non-consultant positions via MBDA’s official website, www.mbda.gov.in.
Key Positions Available:
State Health Systems Resource Center (SHSRC):
- Senior & Junior Consultants for:
- Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (RMNCH): MBBS or higher (MD/Ph.D.); requires 10+ years of experience for senior roles, 5+ years for junior roles.
- Monitoring & Evaluation: Requires postgraduate qualifications in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related fields.
- Human Resources for Health (HRH): Experience in health program development and policy.
- Gender & Social Mobilization: Focus on gender policies in public health; expertise in social sciences or public health.
- Digital Health: Requires a background in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related areas with digital health proficiency.
- Comprehensive Primary Healthcare (CPHC): Relevant MBBS or public health qualifications with extensive program management experience.
- Consultant – Knowledge Management: Postgraduate in communications, journalism, or related fields. Relevant experience in data and project management preferred.
- Research Associate: Postgraduate in social sciences, with field research and local language proficiency.
Regional Health & Family Welfare Training Center (RHFWTC):
- Training Associate: Graduate/postgraduate in public health, nursing, or related field. Requires 2+ years in program management.
- Senior & Junior Training Consultant (RMNCH): Advanced qualifications in health sciences with experience in program development.
Center for Developing Child (CDC):
- Senior Consultant – Early Childhood Development (ECD): 10+ years of experience in early childhood program management.
- District Program Managers (DPM): Graduate or postgraduate with 2+ years in project management; knowledge of local languages preferred.
