MCA President Naba Bhattacharjee felicitated by Queensland Cricket Board
The President of the Meghalaya Cricket Association, Nababrata Bhattacharjee, in his role as Administrative Manager of the Indian Women’s cricket team, was felicitated by the Chair of the Queensland Cricket Board at a function in Brisbane today.
The felicitation took place at an event hosted by the Indian Consulate General in Brisbane.
Consul General Neetu Bhagotia, Chair of the Queensland Cricket Board Kirsten Pike and other officials, including prominent members of the Indian diaspora, were present. Bhattacharjee and coach Amol Majumder were felicitated by Pike.
Bhattacharjee, while speaking on behalf of the Indian contingent, expressed his gratitude for the warm gesture of the consulate while captain Harmanpreet Kaur presented the Indian jersey signed by all players to the Consul General.
The Indian women’s team are involved in a bilateral ODI series with Australia. They lost their first match by 5 wickets yesterday and will play their second on Sunday.
