MDA partners yet to receive letter from Cong: Tynsong
Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Thursday said none of the MDA partners have received any letter from the opposition Congress for forming a new dispensation in the state.
“We are yet to receive the letter from the Congress and also none of the MDA partners had received the letter, so once we received the letter, we will take a call,” Tynsong told reporters.
The deputy chief minister was reacting to the opposition Congress’ decision to write to leaders of all the MDA coalition partners requesting the need to form a new government following the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
When asked, Tynsong said the opposition’s priority is to create instability.
“When you are in the opposition, be it Congress, be it NPP, be it any political party, your priority is what, very simple to create instability and to create confusion. That is the priority of the opposition, be it at the national level, be it at the state level,” he said.
“(However), ultimately… be it MDA government or be it any government, we are here to make sure that the citizens of this state are fully protected,” he further added.
