MDA to hold cabinet meeting in Jowai

SHILLONG: The National People’s Party (NPP)-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) government is likely to hold a cabinet meeting in Jowai, the district headquarter of West Jaintia Hills District.

Sources informed that the government intended to convene the first cabinet meeting of the year in Jowai this month.

Earlier, the cabinet meeting convened at Tura on June 10, was the first to be held outside the state capital since Meghalaya attained its statehood in the 70s.
