MDA to visit Delhi soon
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday informed that he would be leaving for Delhi on Sunday to discuss with the Centre on various issues including the Inner Line Permit (ILP).
During the visit to the national capital, Sangma said that he would be meeting different central ministers for discussion on matters relating to various departments including PWD, agriculture and others.
He said appointment will also be sought with the union home minister Amit Shah for discussion on the implementation of the ILP in the state.
Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said apart from pursuing ILP demand, the state government has sought appointments with many central ministries.
“Because when we go to Delhi not necessarily to meet the union home minister but we need to meet different ministries for the interest of the state,” he said. Tynsong will be leaving for Delhi tomorrow.
