Medusind a US based company now in Shillong, making it boon for the unemployed youths
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, inaugurated the office of Medusind, a leading US-headquartered IT and ITES Healthcare organization in Shillong, Meghalaya on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, Sangma said he was very enthused to see Medusind recruit such a huge number of youth.
He was appreciative of the Company to generate such opportunities for the people of Shillong in particular and Meghalaya as a whole, locally.
Sangma also emphasized on the need for more and more companies like Medusind to set base in Shillong so that local youth gets employment in their own state.
Medusind has a strong presence in India and the USA, with more than 4000 employees across multiple locations in India and the USA.
The decision to open an office in Shillong was driven by the significant number of employees from the Northeastern region and aimed to attract local talent while also allowing existing employees from Shillong to remain connected to their home geography.
The opening of the Shillong office is a testament to Medusind’s commitment to expanding its presence in India.
The company has experienced remarkable growth in the region, with the employee count growing from 0 to 450 in just 6 months.
CHRO, Kranti Munje said, “We are excited to officially open our office in Shillong and provide our employees with the resources they need to excel in their roles.”
He also said that they are committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity in the workplace and this new office is a step towards that direction.
