Meghalaya: 129 more recovered from COVID-19, 67 new cases detected
The state has recorded single day recovery of 129 COVID-19 patients, pushing the total recoveries in the state to 9,241 on Tuesday.
These include 71 from Ri Bhoi district, 34 East Khasi Hills district, 8 West Garo Hills district, 7 West Khasi Hills district, 5 West Jaintia Hills district, 2 East Garo Hills district, 1 East Jaintia Hills district and 1 South West Khasi Hills district, Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said.
Of the 67 new cases detected, Dr War said 26 are from East Khasi Hills, 11 Ri Bhoi, 10 West Garo Hills, 9 East Jaintia Hills, 4 South Garo Hills, 2 East Garo Hills, 2 South West Garo Hills, 1 North Garo Hills, 1 South West Khasi Hills and 1 West Jaintia Hills.
The state has detected a total of 10,296 COVID-19 out of which 961 are active cases, 9,241 recovered and 94 deaths.
Of the total active cases, East Khasi Hills has 288 positive cases that include 19 Armed Forces and Paramilitary Forces and 269 civilians, Ri Bhoi 253, West Garo Hills 121, West Jaintia Hills 95, East Garo Hills 86, East Jaintia Hills 56, North Garo Hills 14, West Khasi Hills 7, South Garo Hills 19, South West Garo Hills 20 and South West Khasi Hills 2.
“Till date, swab samples of 2,13,973 persons have been tested of which 2,03,677 were found negative,” the senior medical official said.
There are 57,362 entrants from outside the state.
