Meghalaya: 2 new COVID-19 cases, 3 recoveries
The state has recorded 2 new COVID-19 cases and 3 recoveries on Tuesday.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said the two new cases are from East Khasi Hills district while the three patients who recovered from the viral infection include 1 from East Khasi Hills, 1 Ri Bhoi and 1 West Khasi Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,723 COVID-19 cases out of which 128 are active cases, 13,449 recovered and 146 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has 98 active cases, East Jaintia Hills 16, West Jaintia Hills 6, North Garo Hills 3, West Garo Hills 2 and West Khasi Hills 1.
On the other hand, of the 3,24,588 persons who have tested for COVID-19 in the state as on date, 3,10,865 were tested negative for the virus even as 48 persons are in institutional quarantine and 78 under home quarantine.
There are 85,495 entrants from outside the state.
