Meghalaya: 21 new Covid-19 cases, 20 recoveries
The state has recorded 21 new COVID-19 cases and 20 recoveries on Tuesday.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said the new cases included 18 in East Khasi Hills district, 2 Ri Bhoi district and 1 in East Jaintia Hills district.
He informed that 20 patients who recovered from the viral infection include 17 from East Khasi Hills, 2 Ri Bhoi and 1 West Garo Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,651 COVID-19 cases out of which 152 are active cases, 13,356 recovered and 143 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has 112 active cases, West Jaintia Hills 26, West Garo Hills 1, North Garo Hills 4, West Khasi Hills 2, Ri Bhoi 3 and East Jaintia Hills 3.
On the other hand, of the 3,10,487 persons who have tested for COVID-19 in the state as on date, 2,96,836 were tested negative for the virus even as 54 persons are in institutional quarantine and 97 under home quarantine.
There are 82,035 entrants from outside the state.
