Meghalaya: 23 more test COVID-19 positive, tally of active cases at 642
Twenty-three more persons have tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday taking the total active cases in the state to 642.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said of the 23 new cases, 11 are from East Khasi Hills that include 8 BSF troopers, 2 civilians and 1 Armed Forces, 10 BSF troopers from West Garo Hills, 1 from South Garo Hills and 1 North Garo Hills.
He informed that seven more patients have also recovered from the infection today taking the total recoveries to 517.
Of the 642 active cases in the state, Dr War said East Khasi Hills has 433 cases of which 267 are civilians, 96 BSF and 70 Armed Forces personnel, 92 in Ri Bhoi, 82 in West Garo Hills, 16 in West Jaintia Hills, 5 in East Jaintia Hills, 3 in West Khasi Hills, 3 in South Garo Hills, 2 in South West Garo Hills, 5 in North Garo Hills and 1 in South West Khasi Hills.
