Meghalaya: 28 more patients recovered from COVID-19
Twenty-four more patients have recovered from COVID-19, taking the tally to 13,066 in the state on Tuesday.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said the recovered patients include 16 from East Khasi Hills district, 4 West Jaintia Hills district, 2 Ri Bhoi district and 2 West Garo Hills district.
Of the 8 new cases detected, Dr War said that 6 are from East Khasi Hills, 1 North Garo Hills and 1 West Garo Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,387 COVID-19 cases out of which 183 are active cases, 13,066 recovered and 138 deaths.
Of the total active cases, East Khasi Hills has 130 positive cases, West Garo Hills 14, Ri Bhoi 28, South West Garo Hills 2, East Garo Hills 1, South Garo Hills 1, West Khasi Hills 5, North Garo Hills 2.
West Jaintia Hills and East Jaintia Hills have zero cases.
“Till date, swab samples of 2,90,360 persons have been tested of which 2,76,973 were found negative,” the senior medical official said.
There are 77,272 entrants from outside the state.
