Meghalaya: 28 more recovered from COVID-19
Twenty-eight more patients have recovered, taking the total recoveries to 12,922 in the state on Thursday.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said the recovered patients include 12 from East Khasi Hills district, 1 West Jaintia Hills district, 9 West Garo Hills district, 2 East Jaintia Hills district, 1 Ri Bhoi district, 1 North Garo Hills district, 1 South Garo Hills district and 1 East Garo Hills district .
He said the 12 new cases detected include 3 Armed force/paramilitary force personnel and 9 civilians from East Khasi Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,340 COVID-19 cases out of which 283 are active cases, 12,922 recovered and 135 deaths.
Of the total active cases, East Khasi Hills has 204 positive cases, Ri Bhoi 29, West Garo Hills 21, West Jaintia Hills 11, South West Garo Hills 5, East Garo Hills 4, West Khasi Hills 5, South Garo Hills 2, North Garo Hills 2.
“Till date, swab samples of 2,85,139 persons have been tested of which 2,71,799 were found negative,” the senior medical official said.
There are 75,911 entrants from outside the state.
