Meghalaya: 3 more test positive as detection of COVID cases on the decline
The daily detection of COVID-19 cases in the state is on the decline with only three persons have tested positive on Monday.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said the new cases include 2 in East Khasi Hills district and 1 in East Garo Hills district.
He informed that 30 more persons have also recovered from the viral infection. These include 26 from East Khasi Hills, 3 East Garo Hills and 1 South West Garo Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,379 COVID-19 cases out of which 199 are active cases, 13,042 recovered and 138 deaths.
Of the total active cases, East Khasi Hills has 140 positive cases, West Jaintia Hills 4, West Garo Hills 15, Ri Bhoi 30, South West Garo Hills 2, East Garo Hills 1, South Garo Hills 1, West Khasi Hills 5, North Garo Hills 1.
“Till date, swab samples of 2,89,092 persons have been tested of which 2,75,713 were found negative,” the senior medical official said.
There are 76,926 entrants from outside the state.
