Meghalaya: 76 more recovered from COVID-19, 35 new cases detected
76 more persons have recovered from COVID-19 even as 35 new cases were detected on Sunday.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said those recoverd from the viral infection include 23 from Ri Bhoi district, 19 East Khasi Hills distrct, 12 East Jaintia Hills district, 10 West Jaintia Hills district, 6 West Garo Hills district, 3 East Garo Hills district, 2 South West Garo Hills district and 1 West Khasi Hills district.
He said the 35 new cases include 26 from East Khasi Hills district, 4 West Garo Hills district, 2 South West Garo Hills district, 2 West Khasi Hills district and 1 North Garo Hills district.
The state has detected a total of 10,665 COVID-19 out of which 971 are active cases, 9,594 recovered and 100 deaths.
Of the total active cases, East Khasi Hills has 298 positive cases that include 4 armed forces and paramilitary forces and 294 civilians, Ri Bhoi 292, West Garo Hills 95, East Garo Hills 95, West Jaintia Hills 55, East Jaintia Hills 37, South Garo Hills 34, West Khasi Hills 30, South West Garo Hills 23, North Garo Hills 11 and South West Khasi Hills 1.
