Meghalaya Board of School Education announces prescribed textbooks for academic year 2024
Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) has notified school textbooks for the academic session of 2024 from Class I to X.
In a notification issued on December 22, CP Marak, IFS (Rtd.), Executive Chairman of the Meghalaya Board of School Education, stated, “It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned that the following textbooks shall be followed in all Lower Primary, Upper Primary, and Secondary Schools under the Meghalaya Board of School Education from Classes I to X, starting from the academic session 2024 until further orders.”
The new textbooks now follow the NCERT (Meghalaya Edition). It should be noted that the Government of Meghalaya has decided to adopt NCERT textbooks from Class I to X to enhance the education system in the state.

A brilliant idea to use NCERT books. It will help students to cope with central examinations. Teachers too should be
well trained to deliver the subject matter to students
