Meghalaya Cabinet approve procedures to implement mega projects for National Games

The state Cabinet on Thursday approved the procedures for administrative and technical approvals related to mega projects for the National Games, 2022.

After chairing the meeting, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said, “This will allow quick administrative and technical approvals for mega projects that are worth more than Rs 50 crores.”

Sangma informed that two single window committees have also been constituted.

“Since such approvals take extra time, the government felt the need to have single window committees,” he said.

The chief minister further said that the committee for administrative approval will be headed by the chief secretary MS Rao while the committee for technical approval will be headed by the secretary of the public works department (PWD).
