Meghalaya CEO to organize Festival of Democracy in Shillong on Jan 24-25

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Meghalaya in collaboration with the Meghalaya Model United Nations will organize the “Festival of Democracy – Road to 2023” at U Soso Tham Auditorium on January 24-25.

The festival is an initiative taken by the Meghalaya Electoral Literacy Club to encourage and ignite youth participation in the world’s largest democracy.

The festival will feature various competitions, carnival games, food stalls and a musical concert by local artists.

A symposium will also be hosted on the second day of the festival at 6:00 pm where our guest speakers representing the ‘Super Six’ shall deliberate on various issues about the upcoming assembly elections. Voter ID cards or Educational Institution IDs will serve as entry tickets to the festival.

There will also be an on-the-spot EPIC registration table for those who want to register, renew or rectify their electoral roll details.
