Meghalaya Chief Minister will hoist the National Flag in Shillong on 78th Independence day Celebration
Along with the rest of the country, the State of Meghalaya is all set to celebrate the 78th Independence Day celebration on Thursday in the State capital and all 11 district headquarters besides the civil sub divisions with all pomp and gaitey.
Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma will hoist the National Flag of India on the 78th Independence day in Shillong the Capital City of Meghalaya while, Deputy Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong will hoist the National Flag in Tura, West Garo Hills District and Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar will take salute in Khliehriat, East Jaintia Hills District.
This was officially communicated to the media houses by the Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, General Administration Department.
The National Flag will be hoisted by Meghalaya Tourism Minister Paul Lyngdoh at Nongstoin the district headquarters of West Khasi Hills District while the honour has been given to Meghalaya Sports & Youth Affairs Minister Shakliar Warjri in Nongpoh the district headquarters of Ri Bhoi District.
Meghalaya Power Minister AT Mondal will hoist the National Flag in Jowai, West Jaintia Hills District while at Williamnagar, East Garo Hills District the honour has been given to Meghalaya Water Resources Minister Comingone Ymbon.
In Resubelpara, North Garo Hills District, Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr. M Ampareen Lyngdoh will hoist the National Flag while at Mawkyrwat, South West Khasi Hills District MTDC Chairman and MLA Sanbor Shullai, MLA will hoist the National Flag. Chief Adviser and MLA Lakmen Rymbui will hoist the National Flag in Baghmara, South Garo Hills District.
Meghalaya Education Minister, Rakkam A Sangma will hoist the National Flag in Ampati, South West Garo Hills District while in Mairang, Eastern West Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya Revenue & Disaster Management Minister Kyrmen Shylla will be hoisting the National Flag.
Meanwhile, at Sub Division Civil level, the National Flag will be hoisted in Gavin Mylliem, MLA in Sohra, Deputy Speaker, Timothy D Shira in Amlarem, Sengchim N Sangma, MLA in Dadenggre and Ian Botham K Sangma, MLA in Pynursla. Further at Chokpot by Brening Sangma, MLA, at Raksamgre by Banteidor Lyngdoh, MLA; at Mawshynrut by Methodius Dkhar, MLA, at Ranikor by Renikton L Tongkhar, MLA, at Patharkhmah by Sosthenes Sohtun, MLA; at Rongjeng by Jim Sangma, MLA; at Jengjal by Sanjay A Sangma, MLA; at Dalu by Limison D Sangma, MLA, and at Hima Shangpung (Laskein C&RD Block) by Santa Mary Shylla, MLA.
