With this objective in mind, we are constructing new block offices, renovating and building Primary Health Centers (PHCs) and Community Health Centers (CHCs), and upgrading Government Lower Primary Schools across the state,” he said.
He also informed that the government has made substantial investment in rural infrastructure, and close to Rs. 120 crore has been earmarked for the construction of new block offices. “Close to 60 percent of these new block offices will be completed and inaugurated within this year,” he added.
To further enhance the functionality and accessibility of block offices, Chief Minister Sangma directed the Deputy Commissioner of South West Garo Hills to submit proposals for additional infrastructure.
