Meghalaya CM to chair a two-day cabinet retreat at Sohra on Jan 10-11
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma will be chairing a two-day Cabinet Retreat at Sohra from January 10 to January 11.
Cabinet Ministers and Senior Officials of the State Government will attend the meeting.
The objective of the program is to provide a platform to Government Departments wherein they can highlight their programs and initiatives and also to discuss the gaps through which collaborative effort can be taken to achieve the desired goals and objectives.
Addressing media persons on this, chief secretary DP Wahlang said, “All the departments will sit together with the members of the cabinet and give a presentation on the way forward for 2025 what are the plans, what are schemes, what are the objectives that the departments wants to meet for the year 2025.”
He informed that the cabinet will also be meeting self help groups in the rural areas. They will be go deep inside towards Nohriat side, they will be meeting SHGs across the areas on January 11 and they will come back and resume meeting with the various departments.
“The overall objective and intention is basically to speak in one language both from the political side and the administration to understand what the departments are going to do for this coming year 2025 and that there should not be any missing gaps and there should not be any misunderstanding, we will all speak in one language that these are the goals we have in mind and these are the things we need to do and it is more of a confidence building and the officers would also like to show what they would like to do for their departments and ministers will share overall policy plans that they have,” he added.
