Meghalaya CM to meet Governor before govt take final call to wind up CMJ University
The state government will take a final call of winding up of the CMJ University after the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma meets the Governor CH Vijayashankar on the matter.
Informing this on Wednesday, cabinet minister and government spokesperson Paul Lyngdoh said the issue came up for discussion during the cabinet meeting held today.

“In fact discussions have gone in a very positive way and all that is left now since there are issues where the governor of Meghalaya is also involved so the cabinet has today authorized the chief minister to brief the governor and once that happens the matter will then come back to the cabinet,” he said.
“The discussion today will be carried on in the first cabinet meeting to be held in the month of April,” the minister added.
Asked when the government will wind up the university, Lyngdoh said, “We will take a final call once the CM meets the governor and the cabinet meets in the first or second week of April after which we will then take a few logical steps.”
