Meghalaya CM’s security personnel test positive for COVID-19

A security personnel of the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma has tested positive for COVID-19.

Informing this here on Wednesday, Health Minister AL Hek said one of the security personnel of the chief minister had tested positive yesterday. “However, the rest have tested negative,” he said.

The chief minister had tested positive on December 11 and is currently undergoing self isolation.

The health minister informed that the department is on the job to trace all contacts of the Rajya Sabha MP and NPP state president, Dr WR Kharlukhi, who had also tested positive on Tuesday.

Asked, Hek said so far no fresh cases have been detected from among the legislators of the state.
