Meghalaya: Containment order lifted from Shilliang Jashar Village

The District Magistrate of East Khasi Hills has withdrawn the containment order from Shilliang Jashar village under Pynursla C&RD Block after no new COVID-19 positive cases were reported.

The District Magistrate declared the village as a containment zone on October 3, after the detection of 29 positive cases.

In an order issued on Thursday, the District Magistrate decides to lift the containment from the village since no fresh cases were reported from the village and based on the contact tracing status and testing of the high risk contacts.

The District Magistrate has also remove the containment tag from the Apartment of Shri. Dipankar Paul in the building of Shri. L. Khongshei, Near Dew Drop Guest House at Rilbong, House of Smti. Siantimon Diengdoh at Lawjynriew Lumkut, Residence of Albert Marbaniang at Khliehshnong, Malki, House of Besi Sol Chalai, Near Ashiyana Guest House at Bishnupur Inverniel and Quarter of Shri. Sengrak Ch. Momin , GAD Quarter No.5, Near Sankerdev Women’s Hostel at Rilbong.

In another order, the District Magistrate declared the Ground Floor of the Apartment of Shri. Grikra Marak in the building of Smti. Beautimon Khongsni, Bishnupur Central as a micro containment area after the detection of COVID-19 positive cases.
