Meghalaya COVID-19: 16 more tests positive, tally jump to 410
Sixteen more persons have tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday taking the total number of active cases in the state to 410.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said 16 people including 13 BSF troopers and 3 civilians were tested positive till 10 am today.
With this, he said the total active cases in the state has increased to 410.
Of this, 356 are in East Khasi Hills (278 BSF, 64 others and 14 armed forces), 36 in Ri Bhoi, 11 in West Garo Hills, 2 in East Jaintia Hills, 2 in South Garo Hills, 1 in South West Garo Hills, 1 in East Garo Hills and 1 in North Garo Hills.
The state has recorded 4 deaths after a GSI officer and a BSF jawan succumbed to COVID-19 while 49 others have recovered from the viral infection.
