Meghalaya COVID-19: 3 more tests positive, tally rises to 18
In an alarming state of affairs, the elite Border Security Force personnel are becoming carrier of COVID-19 to the State of Meghalaya.
According to the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, three more persons tested positive for COVID19.
Out of the three, two are from East Khasi Hills and are BSF personnel while another one is high risk contact from Ri Bhoi.
He said another returnee who came from Delhi was also tested positive for COVID19 in Tura, West Garo Hills.
The state now has a total of 62 positive cases recorded including one death.
Total Active Cases 18
Recovered : 43.
A group of responsible elders from Jowai suggested to the Meghalaya Govt to set up a screening centre for the 150 BSF personnel to return from leaves at Khanapara or Byrnihat where the BSF will be put up for necessary test only if they are negative they will be allow to join for duty.

Absolutely Right… Government must set up some Camps and testing centers for those Armed forces coking back from leave their at Ri Bhoi only at border only… We must prevent it in every possible way… Outsider are the main cause for bringing covid here at Shillong…
