Meghalaya declares three-day state mourning in honour of Pope Francis

The Government of Meghalaya has declared a three-day state mourning as a mark of respect following the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, the Supreme Pontiff of the Holy See.
The mourning will be observed on April 22 and 23, and on April 26, the day of the funeral.
During this period, the National Flag will be flown at half-mast throughout the state wherever it is regularly displayed, and there will be no official entertainment.
