Meghalaya Election: NPP fields six women candidates out of 58 assembly constituencies

The National People’s Party (NPP) will field candidates from 58 out of 60 assembly constituencies.

The party has not announced any candidates from South Shillong and Mairang.

The party fielded six women candidates out of the 36 assembly constituencies in Khasi Jaintia region.

However, there is no women candidates from the remaining 24 assembly constituencies in Garo Hills region.

The candidature list featured two Phd holders and both are women candidates from the same family. They are Dr. Jasmine Lyngdoh from Nongthymmai and Dr.Ampareen Lyngdoh from Shillong East.
