Meghalaya exposed BJP-Cong unholy nexus: Abhishek

AITC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Wednesday said Meghalaya is the only state in the country which exposed the unholy nexus of the BJP and the Congress.

“Where five Congress MLAs, two BJP MLAs, and NPP MLAs, are in alliance to rule the state is unbelievable,” Abhishek said while addressing party workers during the launch of a membership drive in the state.

Stating that they have exposed themselves, he said “While Congress is supporting BJP, BJP is supporting Congress. NPP is supporting Congress, Congress is supporting BJP.”

He said what can be funnier for a party that talks about taking on the BJP.  

The AITC leader also thanked the Leader of Opposition Mukul Sangma, state president Charles Pyngroe and 10 other MLAs for quitting the Congress and coming to the AITC.

“They realized that if we have to take on the NPP’s might and BJP’s vigour, we need a platform and a party who has the courage to speak and take the BJP head on,” he said.
