Meghalaya Games: Alyzza M Lyngdoh won five gold medals in swimming
Alyzza M Lyngdoh won four gold medals on Thursday in another dominating performance in the swimming events at the 4th Meghalaya Games 2022.
To add to her one gold from yesterday, Lyngdoh, a Pine Mount School student representing East Khasi Hills, won four more in the women’s 100m breaststroke, 50m backstroke, 50m butterfly and 50m breaststroke.
In the other women’s event from swimming, which concluded at Crinoline Swimming Pool, Pdiangsuklang Syngwan (EKH) took gold in the 50m freestyle.

Among the men, Pynkhlainbor Wanniang (South West Khasi Hills) bagged gold in the 50m individual medley and 50m backstroke, while Banpynshngain Syngwan (EKH) won the 100m freestyle final, Cleric Jayden Wanniang (EKH) the 100m breaststroke and 50m breastroke, Rangkynsai Myrthong (EKH) the 50m freestyle and Khrawkupar Lyngdoh (SWKH) the 50m butterfly.
There were two relay events for men – the 50m medley and 50m freestyle, both of which were won by teams from South West Khasi Hills.
