Meghalaya Games: Sisila Dkhar of East Jaintia Hills, Rijanai Kyndong, and Josiah Hynniewta win gold in Wushu
The 6th Meghalaya Games concluded with a thrilling display of athletic prowess in the WUSHU category. Competitors from across the state battled fiercely, showcasing their dedication and skill.
In the Women Category (Weight 45kg), Sisila Dkhar from East Jaintia Hills secured the Gold medal, while Rebecca Nongbri from Kast Khasi Hills won the Silver medal. The Bronze medals were awarded to Ibaniewkor Nongrum and Aitimary Wahlang, both from Eastern West Khasi Hills.
In the Women Category (Weight 52kg), Rijanai Kyndong from East Khasi Hills clinched the Gold medal, followed by Samjana Phawa from East Jaintia Hills District who took the Silver medal. The Bronze medals were bagged by Clara Airi Klein and Thaneng Klein, both representing Ri Bhoi.
In the Men Category (Weight 48kg), Josiah Hynniewta from West Khasi Hills achieved the Gold medal, while Salmi Phawa from East Jaintia Hills earned the Silver medal. The Bronze medals went to Pyndaplang Marak from East Khasi Hills and Lambhakidame Lamare from West Jaintia Hills.
