Meghalaya Governor lays foundation stone for new office building of DC, SGH
In a significant move aimed at enhancing administrative infrastructure in the South Garo Hills district, the Governor of Meghalaya, C.H. Vijayashankar, today virtually laid the foundation stone for the construction of the new office building for the Deputy Commissioner, South Garo Hills. The project, once completed, will not only improve the efficiency of governance in the region but also provide modern facilities to cater to the administrative needs of the district.
Addressing the event virtually from Raj Bhavan, Shillong, the Governor lauded the efforts of the district administration and the Government of Meghalaya in taking this progressive step toward strengthening public services in South Garo Hills. He emphasized the importance of robust administrative infrastructure in ensuring efficient delivery of government schemes and services to the people, particularly in far-flung areas.
The Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma, Respected MLAs, Sengchim N Sangma and Kartush R Marak, Deputy Commissioner of South Garo Hills, other government officials, and members of the local community attended the virtual event, expressing gratitude to the Governor for his continued support to the district’s development initiatives.
