Meghalaya Governor leads Yoga session on 9th International Yoga Day
To commemorate the 9th International Yoga Day, Governor of Meghalaya, Phagu Chauhan, led a yoga session at Raj Bhavan Shillong on Wednesday.
Accompanied by Dr. BDR. Tiwari, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary to the Governor, and the Raj Bhavan staff. They performed the asanas under the guidance of experienced yoga instructors from the North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Homeopathy (NEIAH), Shillong
The first International Yoga Day was observed on June 21, 2015, after the UN General Assembly declared the same day as the International Yoga Day. The resolution was moved by India and co-sponsored by a large number of nations.
